Dr. Shveta Gupta, President of CAPI 2026, is a board-certified pediatric hematologist-oncologist with 10+ years leading clinical programs, quality infrastructure, and digital health strategy. She has built comprehensive subspecialty programs, designed Epic-integrated clinical decision support tools, led global clinical trials, and directed pharma medical affairs. Deeply committed to service, education, and community outreach, Dr. Gupta is dedicated to strengthening CAPI’s mission while leading its growing network of physicians and dentists in advancing compassionate care, professional collaboration, and community impact.

Dear Members,
Wishing you all a warm, healthy, and thriving 2026. My name is Shveta Gupta, and I am a pediatric hematologist-oncologist. I am honored and deeply grateful to serve as your CAPI President for 2026.
This year, we will focus on strengthening our physician community, expanding leadership and mentorship pathways, and advancing thoughtful innovation in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. CAPI is well-positioned to support our members, elevate wellness, and foster meaningful partnerships that improve health and opportunity across Central Florida.
OUR PURPOSE
We are a network of Central Florida medical and dental professionals collaborating to make a difference in the lives of our members and the community, while fostering professional growth and enhancing healthcare for all.
OUR VISION FOR 2026
- Members: We will continue expanding our membership while deepening engagement and value. Our goal is to support professional growth, mentorship, leadership development, and wellness by building a strong peer network where ideas are exchanged and collaboration flourishes.
- Innovation & Leadership: Healthcare is changing rapidly. This year, CAPI will introduce learning and collaboration opportunities in AI, data-driven healthcare, and leadership development. Our aim is to empower members to lead confidently in emerging areas while keeping compassion and human connection at the center of care.
- Women in Healthcare: We will continue uplifting the voices and leadership of women across medicine and dentistry. Through spotlights, mentorship circles, and leadership workshops, we will champion equity, visibility, and professional advancement.
- Community:Giving back is foundational to who we are. We will support children and families, expand partnerships with nonprofits, and continue organizing charitable events that reflect our values of service and compassion.
- Youth & Future Leaders:We will strengthen our partnership with Indian student associations at UCF and local educational programs, providing mentorship, volunteer opportunities, and pathways to healthcare careers. Our goal is to cultivate a pipeline of strong, inspired, service-driven future leaders.
